Dr. Moosa Najmi, loving husband, father, grandfather, friend and esteemed colleague, 83, of Bethlehem, PA, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 in Muhlenberg Hospital.
Moosa was born in Naian, Iran, a son of the late Mahmood and Sakineh Najimi.
Moosa was married to Batoul Houri Najmi. Dr. Najmi received several doctorates in his long professional life. He was one of the founders of the Easton Cardiovascular Associates; and chief of Cardiology at Easton Hospital for over twenty years when he retired. Dr. Najmi was a pioneer of the Easton Hospital Cardiac Cath Department; he brought interventional cardiology to this area. Dr. Najmi was also a professor and a research doctor at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia.
In addition to his wife Houri, Moosa is survived by daughter Christiane Najmi Yates; son Marc P. Najmi and daughter Stephanie E. Ullyott; grand-daughters Brianna and Nicolette Yates; and Jacqueline, Samantha, and Catherine Ullyott; siblings Azra, and Abdolali. Good family and friends Gino Guinta, Dr. Khalighi, Dr. Rohatgi, Dr. Walker and nephew Hassan Najimi. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by siblings Mohamad, Ahmad and Rabab.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 9:00 am to 10:30 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am in the funeral home. Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
