Nancy Wasserman, 71, of Wilson Borough, passed away peacefully in her home Tuesday, December 8, 2009.

Born: Nancy was born on July 15th, 1938 in Raubsville, PA a daughter of the late Harry P. and Emily (Jamison) Ward.

Personal: Nancy is survived by her husband William I. Wasserman with whom she celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on June 23rd. She was a 1956 Graduate of Wilson High School.

Memberships: Nancy was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She served as a Wilson Borough crossing guard for many years and volunteered her time and talents as a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, little league cheerleading coach and for Wilson Borough Band Boosters. She was also a member of the local chapter of the Coffee Trotters, and the National Campers and Hikers Association.

Survivors: In addition to her husband Nancy is survived by a daughter Sandra Szmodis and her husband Michael of Williams Twp.; grandchildren Alan, Jamie and wife Beth, Christopher and wife Rachel, and Nicholas; great grandchildren Ryan and Tyler; sisters Marie Fleck of Bath, PA, Kay Niedzwiecki of Walnutport, PA and a brother Barry Ward of Fort Worth, TX.

Services: Friends and relatives are invited to attend a graveside service Friday at 10:00 AM in St. Lukes Old Williams Cemetery 20 Church Road, Hellertown, PA followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM in Mountainview Moravian Church 331 Constitution Avenue Hellertown, PA 18055. Memorial Contributions: In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the church.
