Born: He was born on September 23, 1919 in New York City, NY. He was the son of the late Oreste and Anita (Bellastrino) Schiavone.

Personal: Nicholas was a production manager & designer in the garment industry in New York for many years before retiring in 1983. He was a 1938 graduate of Roosevelt High School, New York. He was married to the late Helen Gerardi who passed away in 1998.

Memberships: He was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantel Catholic Church 4049 Hartley Ave. Palmer Twp., PA.

Survivors: He is survived by brothers; Oreste Schiavone Jr., New York City, Hugo Schiavone, of Bronx, NY, nephews; Albert and Joseph Gerardi, Oreste Schiavone III, nieces; Theresa Armone, Ann Monaco, and Wanda Musumeci, Tanya Schiavone. He was pre-deceased by a brother Frank Schiavone.

Services: Calling hours will be held in the Morello Funeral Home, 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp., PA on Thursday, October 15th from 4pm until 7pm and again Friday, October 16th from 9:00am until 10:00am. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday October 16, 2009 at 10:30am in the St. Jane Frances de Chantel Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave. Palmer Twp. Entombment will be in the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Coram, NY on Saturday October 17, 2009.
