Nicodemo A. Romeo, 92, of Easton, passed away at home on Sunday, May 14, 2023. Born on August 28, 1930 in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Rosa Maria (Piccolo) Romeo. He graduated from Easton High School and then proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier until he retired.
Nicodemo was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, in Easton, the OSIA Judge Grifo Lodge, and the National Association of Letter Carriers #389, where he served as treasurer and vice-president. He enjoyed spending time with his family and cheering on all Philadelphia teams, especially the Phillies.
Nicodemo is survived by his sons Vincent Romeo and his wife Christina of Danielsville, John Romeo of Walnutport; daughter Denise Mandarino and her husband Joseph of Palmer Twp.; four grandchildren, Jason, Nicole, Tara, and Ryan; three step-grandchildren, Christina, Andrea, and Damien; and five great-grandchildren, Isabella, Addison, Bryce, Gia, and Jaxson.
In addition to his parents, Nicodemo was predeceased by his loving wife Delores (Marzuoli) Romeo; his sister Rosalie Brunetti; and four brothers Bruno Romeo, Vincent Romeo, Frank Romeo, and Joseph Romeo.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 16 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and also Wednesday, May 17 from 8:00 am to 9:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 17 at 10:00 am in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh Street, Easton, PA. Interment will be at Gethsemane Cemetery.
