Norma Jane Goodhard, daughter of the late Peter and Anna Stueber, died on June 20, 2019 at her residence in Warren, MI due to a stroke.
Norma was born on November 21, 1937 in Phillipsburg, NJ. She had fond childhood memories of helping at her father's bakery and spending summers with her cousins at the river. She graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1955; and later graduated from Muhlenberg School of Nursing. Norma loved her nursing career and worked many years at Warren and Easton hospitals in various departments. She especially enjoyed her 10 years as an OR nurse. This experience helped her into the Easton Hospital management ranks as the Central Services Manager.
Norma and husband, Jerry raised their children on Meadow Ave. in Palmer Township. Norma mentioned often that they were so blessed to have such supportive neighbors and friends. Together they all raised their families, celebrated good times and faced the twists and challenges that life brought their way. Norma was a longtime active member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She belonged to the Women's Republican Club of Palmer Township and was the founder of E.P.A.C.S. (Eastern Pennsylvania Association of Central Services). As she and Jerry moved to Heron Cay in Vero Beach, FL she remained active in their church and she enjoyed participating in civic and social groups. She made some very good friends there and cherished them deeply. In 2017, Norma and Jerry moved to Warren, MI to live with Sue and Ken. She became a part of the fabric of that neighborhood as well.
Norma is survived by her husband Jerry, son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Khrystina, daughter and son-in-law Suzanne and Ken Kirkland, granddaughters, Alexandra and Annessa Goodhard.
Please join her family as they remember her life with a memorial service at St. John's Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg, NJ on August 24th. A visitation hour will be held from 10:00 am – 11:00 am with a service to follow. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp).
