Name: Norma L. Thatcher, 88, of Bath, PA, passed away on Thursday, December 15th in St. Lukes VNA Hospice House. Born: Norma was born on April 5, 1923 in Easton, PA, a daughter of the late Russell and Mable Cheeseman VanDoren. Personal: She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, cross-stitching, cooking, and baking. Norma was a clerk for McGinley Mills, retiring in 1988. She was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1940. Memberships: Norma was a member of Salem UCC in Bath. She was involved in the Ladies Guild and the Ladies Aid of the church. Survivors: Norma is survived by her sons Barry Thatcher and his wife Nancy of Easton, Dr. Jeffrey D. Thatcher and his wife Terrielee of Hatfield, PA; grandchildren Liane Raider, Casey Johnson, Brian and Vincent Thatcher; great-grandchildren Ayden, Caleb, Reagan, Savannah, Cameron, and Kensey. She is preceded in death by her husband Earl K. Thatcher in 1978; and a brother Russell VanDoren. Services: A calling hour will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the church, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am in Salem UCC, 2218 Community Drive, Bath, PA 18014. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Arrangements are under the direction of Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp).
