She graduated from Baldwin High School. After graduating from high school, Patricia married and raised six children, while moving from Long Island to NJ. She loved nursing and was beloved by her patients and families alike. Upon retiring from nursing, she and her husband moved to North Carolina for a number of years, then finally moved to Easton, Pa. to be near family. She was of the catholic faith and sang in her church’s choir. She also volunteered for the food pantry in her spare time. She liked to knit, play bridge, and was a voracious reader. She also loved gardening.
Patricia is survived by her children, Michael Bassinger, Thomas Bassinger, Suzanne Bassinger, Tricia Smith, Maureen Bassinger, and Kathleen Bassinger; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, R. Allen Bassinger in 2012 and her sister, Eileen Miller in 2025.
