Patricia Correale, 79, of Easton, passed away, surrounded by her children on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 in Holmdel, NJ.
Patricia was born in the Bronx, NY on May 20, 1944, she is the daughter of the late Frances (Kelly) Courtney and Thomas Courtney, who was notified of his daughter's birth via telegram as he was serving in WWII at the time. In 1960 at the age of sixteen, Patricia, always one to blaze her own trail, broke tradition and asked fellow classmate Ferdinand J. Correale to accompany her at the school dance. That dance led to a wedding on October 1, 1966 and 54 years of an incredible marriage filled with love and laughter. Patricia earned her Master's degree in education from SUNY Oneonta, she was a well-respected elementary school teacher for over 20 years at the Connetquot School District on Long Island, NY. Patricia was a member of St. Jane de Chantel Church in Easton.
Patricia enjoyed life's simple pleasures, a glass of wine, a good book or a Broadway Musical were some of her favorites, but spending time with her husband and family meant the most. Whether it be vacationing on the Cayman Islands with her beloved husband or entertaining friends in her beautifully self-decorated home, anyone who knew Patricia would tell you, she always lived life to its fullest.
She is survived by her sons, Peter Correale and his wife, Jackie of Fredonia, NY; Michael Correale and his wife, Erin of Howell, NJ; daughter, Kelly Leftheris and her husband, Peter of Westfield, NJ; grandchildren, Samantha, Alex, Logan, Ryan, Sadie, Kyle. She also leaves behind sisters, Barbara Grable and her husband, Robert of Oakdale, NY; Karen Martinez and her husband, Arty, Deborah Sullivan and Catherine Courtney all of Estero, FL; brother, Thomas Courtney and his wife, Lori of Stony Brook, NY. Patricia was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Courtney.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Cedarville Road, Williams Township. Online condolences may be sent to www.morellofuneralhome.com.
