Name: Patsy Pat S. Vulcano, 92 of Easton passed away Friday November 11, 2011 in VNA Hospice House of St. Lukes, Bethlehem. Born: He was born on September 16, 1919 in Easton a son of the late Vincenzo and Catherine Romano Vulcano. Personal: Pat was preceded in death by his wife, the former Catherine DeBona in 1964. He was employed as the supervisor of buildings for the City of Easton for many years before retiring in 1983. He was the owner of the former Pats Market in South Side Easton. Pat had many achievements and accomplishments in his life, not only for himself and his family but for the community. He was a co-founder of two local unions; 477 city employees non uniformed and the Easton Trouser Co. local of Unite. He was a founder of the Easton Recreation Board and Midget Association. Pat was one of the last surviving people to put up the original Peace Candle in Easton. He played Santa Clause for the local youth for many years and volunteered at the South Side Senior Center just to name a few. Memberships: Pat was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Easton. He was also a member and past president of the Circolo San Placido Society. He played in the Easton Quoit League for 6 decades and served our country in the US Navy for 3 years during WWII. He was an alumnus of Easton High School class of 1937 and a member of Rice Ebner American Legion post in Easton. Survivors: Pat is survived by his sons Dr. Pat Vulcano, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Easton and James Vulcano of Easton; a brother Liborio Vulcano of Florida; grandchildren Catherine, Lisa, Michele, Jessica, and J. Pat Vulcano and a great grandchild Thomas Roa. In addition to his wife, sisters Jennie DeBona and Fannie Mineo preceded Pat in death. Services: Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and Wednesday morning from 8:15am until 9:15am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00am in the church, 9th and Lehigh Streets in Easton. Interment will be in St. Anthonys Cemetery, Williams Twp.
