Obituary

Paul F. Rinaldi, 71, of Easton, PA, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022, in Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth, PA. He was the son of the late Carmella (Padula) and Frank Rinaldi. Paul was a retired educator/administrator. He retired from Franklin Twp. Elementary School in Broadway, NJ, after 38 years. He began his career as a teacher and later became the enrichment coordinator, principal and then the Chief School Administrator of the same school. Paul retired in 2011. He was a graduate of East Stroudsburg University.

Paul and his wife, Connie, have been married for 43 years. They have three children, Paul, Jr. and his wife, Laura, of Nazareth; Dr. Joseph Rinaldi, Gastroenterologist fellow at Montefiore Hospital, NY; and Ms. Christine Rinaldi, assistant principal at Boston Public Schools. He has one granddaughter, Angelina Marie. Paul is also survived by two brothers and their wives, Anthony and Barbara, and Michael and Ruth of Easton. He has a brother-in-law, Anthony Graziosi who resides in New York.

Paul had been actively involved with the PTA of NJ for more than 40 years, serving in the Franklin School PTA for many years as treasurer, Vice President, and President. When Paul retired, the Warren County PTA established a scholarship in his name (Paul Rinaldi Scholarship of Warren County PTA). This award is given to a student in each PTA school that shows respect and character-building traits.

He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Easton all his life where he was involved with the Youth Group for over 20 years, Pastoral Council, assisted in decorating the church for many seasons, and the chairperson for their annual festivals. In 2013, Paul was named "Man of the Year" by the Holy Name Society for his church service and dedication. Other church memberships were to San Placido Society where he was very active for many years. Outside of church, he was also involved with an organization called "The Family Involvement Conference" where he served as treasurer for 15 plus years.

For over 20 years, he organized the Fair Queen competition at the Warren County Fair in NJ. Later, he was in charge of running the fair's talent show. At The State Theatre in Easton, he ushered for 6 years, earning the "Usher of the Year" in 2018.

Paul, who dedicated his entire life to family, friends, community, and the service of children, will be greatly missed by all. We thank you for your service, Paul.

Calling hours will be Friday, May 27, 2022, from 8:15 am to 10:15 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a Mass of Christian burial in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 900 Washington Street Easton, PA at 11:00 am.
