Name: Pearl L. Griffin, 97, of Easton, PA, passed away on Tuesday, June 28th in Gracedale Nursing Home. Born: She was born on March 27, 1914 in Central South Carolina, a daughter of the late Rosa Norris Acker. Personal: Pearl was an LPN for Easton Hospital for 10 years, retiring in 1979. Memberships: She was a member of the Easton Senior Center where she conducted Bible Study, was a founding member and mother of Green Pastures Community Church, served as president of the Practical Nurses Association at Easton, Hospital, received a citation from The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania House of Representatives on her 90th birthday sponsored by Senator Robert L. Freeman and a special birthday acknowledgement from Congressman Charles W. Dent on the occasion of her 93rd birthday. Survivors: Pearl is survived by her sons Rev. Howard Griffin Jr. of Scranton, PA, Pastor Don B. Griffin of Forks Twp., Robin L. Griffin of Reading, PA; daughter Tanya R. Brown of Palmer Twp.; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Howard A. Griffin; sons Haroldy Griffin, Michael B. Griffin; sisters Norseal Reeder, Clara Blander, Corine Stephens, and a brother Charles Henry Acker. Services: Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.). An additional calling hour will be held on Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in Green Pastures Community Church, 28 North 10th Street, Easton PA 18042. Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am in the church. Interment will be in Easton Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered at www.morellofuneralhome.com
