Obituary

Peter C. Regina, 86, of Bethlehem Township passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012 in his home surrounded by his family. Born: He was born November 3, 1925, in Easton, a son of the late Antonino Regina and Mary Regina Cipriani and Gabriel Cipriani. His parents immigrated from Castel di Lucio, Italy. Personal: Peter was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Josephine Marie (Zamataro) Regina in 2003. He worked for the County of Northampton and was as an attorney and labor arbitrator for the city of Philadelphia. Peter graduated from Moravian College with a B.A. degree and he earned a Master of Science degree in Political Science and a Juris Doctorate. He served our country as a Pilot in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. Peter devoted his life to taking care of his family. His passions included traveling with his family, making family dinners, wine making, bicycling and his fig trees. Memberships: Peter was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Easton, where he and his wife helped count collections for many years. He was also an active member of the American Arbitration Association & Northampton County Retirement Board. Survivors: Peter is survived by his two daughters Mary Ann Regina-Ochab, her husband Damian, and son Peter of Farmington Hills, MI, Dr. Joanne Regina, her husband, Randall Weston, and daughter Madeline Regina Weston of Bethlehem Township; sister Natalie Onorata of Palmer Township, brother Louis Cipriani and wife Michelle of Bethlehem Township; brother-in-law Donald Panto of Forks Township and 23 nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Peter is preceded in death by sisters, Josephine Verenna and husband Joseph Verenna, Lucy Panto, and brother Anthony Regina and wife Kate Regina. Services: Calling hours will be held Sunday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and Monday, from 11:00 - 12:00 in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc, 3720 Nicholas St., Palmer Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, at 12:30 pm at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh Streets in Easton. Internment will be in St. Anthonys Cemetery, Williams Township. Memorials: Arcadia Hospice, 7248 Tilghman St., Allentown, PA 18106 in memory of Peter C. Regina.
