Name: Peter Rumore, 88, of Forks Twp., passed away on Friday, May 7, 2010 in the Hospice House of the VNA of St. Lukes, Bethlehem, PA. Born: Peter was born on January 25, 1922, in Easton, PA, a son of the late Salvatore and Josephine Calabria Rumore. Personal: Peter worked as a chef for over 50 years at the Hotel Easton, Johnnys Corner in Phillipsburg, and Cross Timbers Inn in Palmer Township. Upon his retirement he worked part time at the Palmer Twp. Recycling Center until 2002. Memberships: Peter was a former President of Lehigh Valley Culinary Association, and a member of the American Institute of Chefs. Survivors: Peter is survived by a companion Elizabeth Bellis, a son Thomas Rumore and wife Sandra Lee of Bangor, PA, a daughter Anne Marie Galley and husband Richard J. of Albrightsville, PA, a brother Nicholas Rumore of Ormond Beach, FL, four grandchildren Lisa Barnett, Richard Galley, Jr., Kelly Rumore Bean, and Katie Rumore High, and four great-grandchildren Gabrielle, Chaela, Lola, and Hannah. He is preceded in death by his wife the former Anna DeStefano, to whom he was married 53 years at the time of her passing, sisters Mary Romano and Rose March, and a brother Paul Rumore. Services: Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 8:15am to 9:15am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Jane Frances De Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Harley Avenue, Easton, PA. Interment will be at Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
