Peter Zaharakos, 58, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on January 14, 2017 from frontal temporal dementia. Peter was born in Brooklyn, NY, on September 3, 1958. A son of the late Charles and Bertha ( Alexander) Zaharakos. Peter was married to the former Nilsa (Rosado) the love of his life , with whom he celebrated 31 years of marriage last September. Peter got his GED and later went to Muhlenberg College where he received his business degree. Peter and Nilsa lived in Brooklyn, NY together until moving to PA in 1992. In addition to his wife Peter is survived by his two sisters; Antoinette Zaharakos and her partner Maureen Walsh, and Elena Zaharakos and her husband Ketut Arkayasa; three brothers; Nicholas Zaharakos and his wife Joann Elliot, James, and Michael Zaharakos and his wife Anna Cromwell, several nieces and nephews, and he beloved yellow lab Golden Ella. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, brother John Zaharakos, a mother-in-law Maria Rosado, sister-in-law Carmen Hernandez, and brother-in-law Edwin Medina. Also gone but never forgotten were two of his labs, his black lab Spartacos and his chocolate lab Lola. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with an additional calling hour on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp., PA.
