Phyllis A. Horning, 87, of Palmerton passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospice House. Born in Plainfield, NJ on July 28, 1937, she was a daughter of the late John and Stella (Piechota) Swiatek. She attended Holy Trinity High School in New Jersey. Phyllis worked in the ladies' wear department of Laneco for 25 years until its closing.
She was a former member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. She enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles and was an avid NASCAR fan that never missed a race.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, John Horning; daughter, Donna Grenauer and her husband, John of Bethlehem; sons Gary Horning of Bethlehem; Scott Horning and his wife, Sherri of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Matthew and his wife, Brittany; Jennifer and her husband, Tyler; Megan and her fiancé, Brandon; Michael, Ryan; great grandchildren, Addilyn and Emma. She also leaves behind sisters, Carol Bradshaw and her husband, Jerry of Palmerton; Pat Babrieck of High Bridge, NJ; and a brother, Kenneth Swiatek and his wife, Susan of Maryland.
Calling hours will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton (Palmer Twp.) followed by a funeral service.
