Pietro Gambino, 68, of Schnecksville, PA passed away on July 30, 2025 at St. Luke's Allentown Campus. Born on February 25, 1957 in Torretta, Sicily, he was the son of the late Calogero and Calogera (Croce) Gambino.

Pietro Gambino (1957 - 2025) was a caring, loyal, dedicated and hardworking individual who always put his family first.  Born in Torretta, Sicily, Italy, he moved to Queens, NY where he met the love of his life, wife of 44 years, Maria (Prainito) Gambino. They settled in Whitestone, NY where they had and raised 5 beautiful children. In 1999, Pete's work led him to Coplay, PA where he was the proud owner of Mama's Pizza 3, an Italian family restaurant, for 26 years. Pete thrived in this environment as he loved serving others through his great gift of cooking. You could always find him there. Pete spent his free time with his wife, 5 children, and 10 grandchildren. You could find him working in his garden, taking care of his beloved fig trees, and making brick oven pizzas in his backyard. He always enjoyed listening to and singing Italian music, and playing cards. Pete was the definition of an old school Italian. He was hard on the outside and soft on the inside. People close to him could see his tender servant heart that will be forever loved and remembered.

Pietro is survived by his wife, Maria (Prainito) Gambino; sons, Calogero Gambino of Schnecksville; Antonio Gambino of Laurys Station; daughters, Liliana Snyder and her husband, Eric of Coopersburg; Rosanna Badalamenti and her husband, Mike of Whitehall; Valentina Thatcher and her husband, Colby of Center Valley; sister, Franca Gambino; brothers, Aloisio, Francesco and Giovanni Gambino; grandchildren, Lucas, Giulia, Jacob, Isabella, Viviana, Alessio, Leandro, Antonio, Elias, Gianna.

In addition to his parents, Pietro was preceded in death by a brother, Salvatore Gambino and a grandchild, Adriana Badalamenti.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 4th from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at St. Ann's Church, 415 S 6th Street, Emmaus, PA 18049. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM.  Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Pietro's name to Allentown Rescue Mission, 355 Hamilton St, Allentown, PA 18101.
