Placido Viglianti, 91, of Bethlehem Twp., PA, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018 in Easton Hospital.

Placido was born in Cordoba Argentina, a son of the late Michele and Maria (Rivilli) Viglianti.

Placido was married to Maria Viglianti for 69 years. He was a Foreman in the foundry for Ingersoll Rand of Phillipsburg, NJ until retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 9 ^th and Lehigh St. in Easton and the Circolo San Placido Society.

In addition to his wife, Placido is survived by sons Michael A. Viglianti and wife Donna of Easton, Anthony L. Viglianti and wife Sheila of Easton; a daughter Maria Vacaro and husband Anthony of Easton; a brother David Viglianti of Easton; grandchildren Michael Vacaro and wife Rebecca, Anthony Vacaro and wife Melissa, Michael Viglianti and wife Julie, Steven Viglianti and wife Rebecca, Nina and James Placido Viglianti; great-grandchildren Matthew, Gabriella and Rocco Vacaro and Marcus Brown. He is preceded in death by his sisters Giovanna Viglianti and Lucy Regina.

A calling hour will be held on Friday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 am in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9 ^th & Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA. Entombment will be in St. Anthony's Mausoleum, Williams Twp.
