Raphie P. Azzolina, 88 of Easton passed away Saturday January 30, 2010 in the VNA Hospice House of St. Lukes in Bethlehem as a result of injuries sustained in an accident on Dec. 23, 2009.

Born: She was born on September 6, 1921 in Lower Nazareth Twp. a daughter to the late Larrie and Rose (Cicero) Sabino

Personal: Raphie was preceded in death by her husband Anthony who passed away in 1995. She was a sewing machine operator for almost 50 years at the former Strongwear Pants Co. in Easton. Raphie was an avid sports fan, with a special passion for football & basketball for Easton High School, Lafayette College and the New York Giants and Yankees. She was an excellent cook and loved to cook for her family, particularly Italian dishes.

Memberships: She was a member of St. Anthonys of Padua Catholic Church.

Survivors: Raphie is survived by her son Nicholas and his wife Diane of Palmer Twp; a sister Frances Soffera of Nazareth, a brother Nick and his wife Eva Sabino of Palmer Twp; Grandchildren Nicholas and his wife Julie of Green Bay, Wisc., Vincent and his wife Marlise of Stokesdale N.C., Great-Granchildren Sophia, Dominick, Luca and Lorenzo. She was preceded in death by her Step Brothers Charles and Joseph Giuffre.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. on Thursday in the St. Anthonys of Padua Catholic Church, 9th and Lehigh Streets, Easton. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 6-8PM as well as 8:15A.M. to 9:15A.M Thursday in the Morello Funeral Home, 3720 Nicholas St. (Palmer Twp) Easton, PA 18045. Burial will follow in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
