Obituary

Raymond F. Parker, Jr., aged 78, of Palmer Township, peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Arden Courts. Born in Washington, D.C., on August 30, 1945, he was the devoted son of the late Raymond F. Parker, Sr., and Modest (Eikenberry) Parker. Known affectionately as Frank, he earned his B.S. in business management from SUNY New Paltz and proudly served in the United States Air Force.

Frank was a loving husband of 54 years to Eleanor (Crilley) Parker. He was a caring father to Raymond Parker III and wife Dana, Daniel Parker and wife Jackie, and Matthew Parker and wife Megan. Frank was also a doting grandfather to his six grandchildren: Ashley, Kevin, Logan, Gavin, Jake, and Abby.

Frank, a dedicated family man, found immense joy in playing and coaching sports. His passion for playing volleyball, softball, basketball, and bowling was evident throughout his life. In his younger years, he coached youth sports teams, leaving a lasting impact on his children. Later in life, he delighted in watching his grandchildren excel in volleyball, baseball, basketball, football, and soccer.

Beyond sports, Frank enjoyed the great outdoors, embracing the tranquility of camping. His love for animals was evident in the joy and companionship he found with them throughout his life. Frank was also a devoted member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church.

Frank is survived by his living sister, Judy Tippett, and was preceded in death by his sisters, Linda McCarthy and Sonja Rader. He is now reunited with them in eternal peace.
