Richard J. Bath, 78 of Palmer Township, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Muhlenberg Hospital.

Richard was born on September 6, 1947, in Easton, PA. He was the son of the late Clair N, and Laura L. (Eck) Bath.

He was the husband of Elaine L. (Witt) Bath, for 56 years. He was a dedicated mathematics teacher in Easton Area School District from September 1969 until June 1999. Richard graduated from Wilison High School in 1965, and Moravian College in 1969.

He was a member of the Green Pond United Methodist Church. Also, he was a life member of NEA, PSEA, and NCEA. He was a member of Troop 27 of the Boy Scouts of America. In 1964, he received the God and Country Award and the Eagle Scout Award. He also won the Silver Bugle Contest sponsored by the Brown & Lynch of the American Legion. For three consecutive summers, he served as camp bugler for a few weeks at Camp Weygadt. He loved playing tennis and racquetball and enjoyed watching all types of sports. Most of all he enjoyed spending precious time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Elaine, he is survived by a daughter Kristie Bath, at home in Easton; a son Jonathan and his wife Megan, of Lower Nazareth Township; grandchildren Bryson and Briella; brother Robert Bath, of Philadelphia, PA and two nephews.

Calling hour will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Morello Funeral Home, Inc. 3720 Nicholas Street Easton, PA 18045. Funeral Services will be in the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in Belfast Union Cemetery, Belfast, PA. Donations in memory of Richard may be made to Via of the Lehigh Valley, 336 W.
