Richard DeBona, 93, of Easton, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014 in St. Lukes Hospice House. Born: Richard was born in Easton, PA, a son of the late Vito and Margarita (Vitale) DeBona. Personal: Richard was married to the former Jennie Vulcano before her passing in 2001. He was a Presser for Easton Trouser Company for 45 years. Richard served in the US Navy in the Atlantic and Pacific Theatres during World War II. He served on board a Destroyer that among other things escorted the atomic bombs through the Pacific Ocean. Memberships: Richard was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Castel DiLucio Society, and also Brown & Lynch American Legion Post 9 in Palmer Twp. Survivors: Richard is survived by his sisters Mary Jane Mandarino of Bethlehem Twp., Victoria Ribando of Brooklyn, NY; a brother Dominick and wife Margaret DeBona of Easton. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his sisters Catherine and Margaret Maggie DeBona; brothers Milo and Samuel DeBona. Services: A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in Morello Funeral Home Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA. Interment will be in St. Anthonys Cemetery, Williams Twp.
