Richard Eppler,79, of Bethlehem, PA passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Pennsburg Manor. Born on March 6, 1947 in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late Walter and Constance (Mutchler) Eppler.
He graduated from Wilson Area High School in 1965 and proudly served in The United States Army during the Vietnam War. Upon his honorable discharge, he was employed by Bethlehem Steel, holding various positions. His last position he held prior to the Steel closing was a Working Leader in the Coal Handling Department. Later, he was employed as a custodian for Easton Area School District. He also served as an election poll worker for Northampton County. He was a member of United Steelworkers Union and PSERS. In his retirement, he enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his daughter, Amy Brandon and her husband, Nathan of Bethlehem; grandson, Cade Brandon of Bethlehem.
In addition to his parents Richard was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Gale Eppler.
Arrangements are entrusted to Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton (Palmer Twp.) Services are private at the request of the family.
