Richard J. Gudzinas, 63, passed away on Saturday October 24, 2015 in his home surrounded by his loving wife in Wind Gap. Richard was born in Phillipsburg, NJ a son of the late Frank and Anna (Nemeth) Gudzinas Sr. Richard was a graduate of Warren County Technical School, and Phillipsburg High School, Class of 1970. Richard proudly served our country in the National Guard from 1970-1976 and was honorably discharged. He received the code of conduct medal. Richard worked as a Welder for over 30 years at SI Handling in Forks Twp. He also worked at A-Tech, Weis Market, and most recently at Wegmans in Easton. Richard was the husband of Marsha (Mondillo) Gudzinas with whom he celebrated 44 years of marriage. Richard was an active outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his fish pond, woodworking, playing cards and spending time with his grandchildren. Richard was a member of many social clubs throughout the area. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Easton and a member of St. Elizabeth Church in Pen Argyl. Richard is survived by his wife: Marsha (Mondillo) Gudzinas of Wind Gap; two daughters: Gwen Appleman and her husband Todd of Bath, PA and Carissa Cavanaugh and her husband James of Bethlehem; 3 grandchildren: Cheyenne Appleman, Tavian and Ayla Cavanaugh; a brother: Frank Gudzinas and his wife Antoinette of Easton; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. with an additional calling hour Wednesday from 8:15 to 9:15 AM at Morello Funeral Home, 3720 Nicholas St., Easton, PA 18045. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 9th and Lehigh Street in Easton, PA 18042 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at St. Anthonys Cemetery, in Easton.
