Richard E. Maddy of Easton, PA (formerly of Vernon, NJ), passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017 in St. Lukes Hospital, Anderson Campus.

He was born in Binghamton, NY.

Richard was married to the former Leslee Ackerman, with whom he celebrated 46 years of marriage. He was a graduate of East Side High School in New Jersey. He was a firefighter in Patterson, NJ before retiring in 1989. He enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his beloved dog Bailey.

Richard was a member of the Fire Members Association.

In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by a son Richard W. Maddy of Denver, CO; a daughter Patricia Lawson and husband Richard of Vernon, NJ; grandchildren Kevin Wiseman, Paige Wiseman, Allie Wiseman, and Daniel Maddy.
