Name: Richard F. Pud McAuliffe, 77, of Palmer Twp., passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 7th. Born: Richard was born on July 7, 1933, in Easton, PA, a son of the late James J. and Verna R. (Slingland) McAuliffe. Personal: Richard worked as a truck driver for Treadwell & Preston Trucking Companies, retiring in 1998. Memberships: Richard served as a board member at the Citizens Hose. He was a life member of the Fleas Club, Liberty Hose, Concordia Maennerchor, Avona Volunteer Fire Co., Palmer Volunteer Fire Co. #2, Wilson Boro Republican Club, West Easton Fire House, and a member of the Wilson Democratic Association. Survivors: Richard is survived by his long-time companion Janet Tougher; sons Richard Rennig of Easton, Robert Rennig of Wind Gap, Thomas Rennig of Williams Twp.; daughters Diane Rennig of Williams Twp., Deborah Vitko of Williams Twp., Emma Spencer of Easton; sisters Joan Murphy of Wilson Boro, Mary Andrews of Nazareth, Beverly Welles of Gilbert; brother Joseph McAuliffe of Wilson Boro; ten grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife the former Betty Smith, sister Shirley Allen, and brothers James and William McAuliffe. Services: Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and also Wednesday from 9:00 am until 10:00 am followed by a prayer service at 10:00 am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.).
