Name: Richard Joseph Pacchioli, Sr., 81 of Palmer Twp. and Lakeville, PA passed away Saturday April 7, 2012 in Moravian Village, Bethlehem, with his family by his side. Born: He was born on August 23, 1930 in Easton a son of the late Anthony and Anna LaGuardia Pacchioli. Personal: Richard and his wife, the former Fay Kantner celebrated 59 years of marriage together on August 2nd. He started his career as a photographer working with his father at Pacchioli Photo Studio in Easton. He served our country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict as a medical photographer at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He served as head of the Photography Department at Dixie Cup - American Can for 30 years until his retirement in 1986. He loved to hunt and fish with his best friends. He earned a world record in Canada for catching the largest Lake Trout on a 14# test line. He was a devoted family man who loved boating at his home on Lake Wallenpaupack. He spent many years with his wife on Marco Island, Florida during the winter months. Memberships: Richard was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Palmer Twp. He also was a member of the Fleas Club, NRA, American Legion, Heights AA and the Over The Hill Motorcycle Club. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by his son Richard Pacchioli, Jr. and wife Ingrida of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.; daughters Rhonda Pacchioli of Williams Township, Rita Gencarelli and husband Michael of Bethlehem Township; a sister Gloria Pacchioli-Davis of Allentown; a brother Thomas Pacchioli, Sr. of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and grandchildren Luca Pacchioli, Jena and Demi Kostishion and Nicole Gencarelli. A sister Helen and a brother Anthony preceded Richard in death. Services: Calling hours will be held on Wednesday evening from 7:00pm until 9:00pm and Thursday morning from 10:00am until 11:00am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp.
