Rita T. Balzano, 91, of Palmer Twp., PA, formerly of Old Forge, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in Manor Care, Palmer Twp.

Rita was born in Old Forge, PA, a daughter of the late Phillip and Julia (Morgan) Talerico.

Rita was married to James J. Balzano, with whom she celebrated 68 years of marriage. She enjoyed shopping and traveling.

Rita was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, Brown & Lynch American Legion, and the Slovak Club in Phillipsburg.

In addition to her husband, Rita is survived by a son Nicholas J. Balzano and wife Diane of Nazareth; daughters Rita Ann Balzano of Miami, FL, Maria Guffy and husband Robert of Tatamy, PA; grandchildren Lana, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Lora, Christina, Anthony, Paul and great-grandchildren Tiara and Nicholas III. She is preceded in death by her sisters Mary DelMonte, Lucille Linnen; and a brother John Talerico.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp).
