Robert E. Rose, Jr., 67, of Palmer Twp. passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026 at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Muhlenberg. Born on March 3, 1958 in Somerville, NJ, he was the son of the late Ann (Freuler) and Robert E. Rose, Sr.
Bob graduated from Bridgewater East High School, class of 1976 and was employed in sales for large buses and trucks. He enjoyed wearing a sleek pair of sunglasses as he cruised in his Mustang. On sunny days, he could be found on the course playing a round of golf. Bob was an avid football fan. He loved watching Notre Dame games and was a true Giants fan who always said that he “bleeds Giants blue.” He also coached football for Bound Brook Pop Warner in NJ and for the Bethlehem Township Bulldogs. He was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, the VFW in Nazareth and the American Legion in Palmer Twp.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Joyce (Scotillo) Rose; daughters, Shannon Kelly and her husband, Nick of Phillipsburg, NJ; Melissa Rose of Allentown, PA; Jennifer Achille and her husband, Stephan of Easton, PA; sisters, Kathy Mastice and her husband, John of Bridgewater, NJ; Maggie Schlauch and her husband, Eric of New Paltz, NY; brother, Larry Rose and his wife, Joyce of Lewes, DE; grandchildren, Owen, Jacob, Carter, Jackson, and Benjamin.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Rose.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 1:30 PM at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s name to the charity of your choice. Online condolences may be offered at www.morellofuneralhome.com
