Robert R. Van Doren, 71, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Thomas Jefferson Hospital.

He was born in Easton, PA, a son of the late Russell and Irene (Smith) Van Doren.

Robert was married to the former Eileen M. Shannon until her passing in July 2012. He was a bus driver for Transbridge for 43 years, where he enjoyed driving, talking and meeting new people.  Robert volunteered for Bloomsbury Rescue Squad EMT, where he was promoted to Presidential status. He was a dog lover, and loved to rescue animals.

Robert is survived by a son Joshua Van Doren of Slatington; daughters Kelli Krasley of Palmer Twp; Kelly Ann Risley and husband Michael of Edgewood, MD, Shannon Beavan and husband Jeff of Pen Argyl; a sister Kim Siedt and husband Kevin of Nazareth; a brother Gene Van Doren of Forks Twp.; and grandchildren Evan, Skyler, Alexis, Jamie, Austin, Allyson, Jocelynn, Samantha, Jacob, Keith, Xander, and Hudson. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a sister-in-law Colleen Van Doren.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). Interment will be private in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
