Robin Leslie Griffin, 75, of West Pittston, PA passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2026 at Toms River Community Medical Center. Born on May 5, 1950 in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late Howard A. and Pearl (Acker) Griffin.
He graduated from Easton High School in 1968 where he played football and was MVP for the Thanksgiving Game of 1966. Robin earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Syracuse University. He was a member of the Syracuse Football Club from 1968-1971. In 1972, he was a free agent for the Dallas Cowboys. He later was employed as a systems engineer.
Robin was a member of Green Pastures Community Church in Easton and First Congregational Church in West Pittston. As a member of Gideon’s International in Virginia, Robin helped distribute bibles and share the Gospel.
Robin is survived by his loving wife, Sharon (Werkheiser) Griffin; daughter, April Jenkins and her husband, Eric of Richmond, TX; step-daughter, Kathrine Sheplavy and her husband, Gary of Philadelphia, PA; step-son, Mark Edgar of Austin, TX; sister, Tanya Brown and her husband, Dennis of Easton, PA; brother, Reverend Don Griffin and his wife, Brenda of Easton, PA; and grandchild, Morgan Jenkins.
In addition to his parents, Robin was preceded in death by his brothers, Howard, Jr., Haroldy, and Michael Griffin.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with committal prayers at 12:00 PM in the funeral home. Interment is private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Robin’s name to Green Pastures Community Church, 28 N. 10th Street, Easton, PA 18042 or First Congregational Church, 500 Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston, PA 18643.
