Obituary

Roger Dreisbach-Williams, 77, son of the late Jules and Katherine Glover Williams, died on July 11.   Born in Oklahoma, he grew up on all sides of the Ohio-Indiana border including his secondary education years in East Lansing, MI.  Having moved nine times during childhood, he finally settled in Williams Township for 40 years.

A member of the Rahway and Plainfield (NJ) Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), he served for years as assistant clerk of his local meeting and on committees for the New York Yearly Meeting as well. He was recognized for his knowledge of the Bible and his own spiritual growth.

He was employed by the City of New York in the Office of Management and Budget and then worked for many years for Patient Instrumentation Inc. certifying medical gas installations.  He was active in civic and political affairs including serving with the Easton Area Democratic Committee.

A graduate of Antioch College, Yellow Springs, OH and the New School for Social Research, New York, he had a long abiding concern about rural counties that were being challenged by urbanization and would need guidance.

He is survived by his wife, Liesel Dreisbach-Williams; daughter Susanna Williams of Rhode Island; son Stefan Dreisbach-Williams of New York City; sister Willow Aspen (Bonnie) of Rhode Island; sisters-in-law Christine Murray (Bill), Greta Tisdale, and Rachel Wissner; and several nieces. Two brothers, Donald Williams and Brian Williams, predeceased him.
