Ronald P. Pizarie, 81, of Bath, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 with his family by his side. Born in Easton on September 18, 1941, he was a son of the late Valentine and Margaret (McArdle) Pizarie.
Ronald graduated from Easton High School in 1959 and the very next day enlisted in the United States Airforce. Upon an honorable discharge, he started work at ITT Electron Tube Division as a glassworker. He served as the UAW Local 644 president for 6 years. He was later employed at OCLC from 1991-2003 and retired at the age of 62.
Over the years Ronald contributed to the letter to the editor column for both the Express Times and the Morning Call papers on many different topics. He enjoyed sharing his thoughts with his community. Ronald liked to go to yards sales and flea markets with his wife where they would purchase items to flip and resell. Ronald liked to cook. He made his own sauce for lasagna, spaghetti, and ziti. In his down time, he liked to go to the casino. He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Dawn (Cunningham) Pizarie; many nieces and nephews; and his faithful dog, Foxy.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Marjorie McGinn and Geraldine Graner.
A calling hour will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Philip and St. James Church, 430 Main Street, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place in the New St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Ronald's name are suggested to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 30386, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
