Name: Rosa Patruno Arr, 102 years of age, of Easton passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013, in St. Lukes Hospice House, Bethlehem. Born: She was born on November 20, 1910, in Turi (Bari) Italy, the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Marietta Ottomano Patruno. Personal: In 1930 she left her parents and seven siblings, all of whom predeceased her, to come to America as the young bride of Domenico Arr who owned a barber shop on Northampton Street in Easton. Since then, Rosa led a busy and creative life at home that bridged her Italian upbringing and her American adulthood. Throughout that time she entertained and delighted her family and friends with delicious food, expert tailoring, ceramic roses, and pressed cards. All her friends who witnessed her many creations over the years told her that she had mani doro, hands of gold. Memberships: Rosa was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Easton. Survivors: Rosa is survived by her daughter Aurelia Arr Stella and her husband John of Bethlehem; grandchildren John C. Stella, Matthew A. Stella, Krista R. Stella and great grandchildren Domenico Nico Stella, Marina Stella, Paprika Indresano and Sorelle Indresano. Rosa was preceded in death by her husband Domenico in 1997. Services: Calling hours will be held on Monday evening (Today) from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and Tuesday from 11:15am until 12:15pm in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 1:00pm in the church, 9th and Lehigh Streets in Easton. Interment will be in St. Anthonys Cemetery, Easton.
