Name: Rosa (Cassarino) Giampiccolo, 96 of Jackson Heights, NY passed away Monday January 10, 2011 in Easton Hospital, Wilson Boro. Born: She was born on February 21, 1914 in Modica, Sicily Italy a daughter of the late Guegliamo and Antonina Galota Cassarino Personal: Rosa was preceded in death by her husband Emmanuele in 1983. Rosa was a very humble, hard working and loving mother and grandmother. She was employed as a seamstress in the local garment industry in New York retiring in 1985. Memberships: She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in New York. She also was a member of ILGWU-UNITE. Survivors: Rosa is survived by her daughter Grace Giampiccolo of Bethlehem Twp; her sister Concetta Curto of Palmer Twp and grandchildren Angela Rose Cucchiara, Kelly Ann OShaughnessy, Christina M. Cucchiara, Erin Marie OShaughnessy and Sean OShaughnessy. Daughter Antoinette OShaughnessy, a sister Pepina DNatale and a brother Pietro Cassarino preceded Rosa in death. Services: Calling hours will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00pm until 8:00pm in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 25-02 80th St. Queens, NY. Entombment will be on Saturday at St. Johns Cemetery, Middle Village, NY.
