Rosario Russ R. Sottosanti, 88, of Palmer Twp., passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Easton Hospital. Born: Rosario was born in Easton a son of the late Sebastiano and Concetta (Catanzaro) Sottosanti. Personal: He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, the former Jean Walters, in 2009. Russ was a graduate of Easton High School, the class of 1945. Russ was employed at Ingersoll Rand as a machinist for many years and later at Mack Truck and Cooper Industries, where he retired in 1993. He was a life member of the Suburban Fire & Rescue Co., now known as the Suburban E.M.S. He was a co-founder of Suburban E.M.S. in 1951, serving as a co-president, treasurer, chairman of the board and squad captain. Russ retired after 30 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Brown & Lynch American Legion Post #9. Survivors: He is survived by his son: David Sottosanti and his wife Ginny Broz, of Pittsburgh, PA ; a daughter Gayle Sottosanti Rapp and her husband Chip, of Bethlehem twp.; four grandchildren: Anna, Gina, Michael, and Emma; and a brother Charles Sottosanti, of Palmer Twp. In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by two sons: Dale and Matthew Sottosanti, and a sister Angelina Houser. Services: Calling hours will be held on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and also Thursday noon to 1:00 p.m. in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc. 3720 Nicholas St. Easton ( Palmer Twp.), PA. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery, in Williams Twp.
