Obituary

Rose M. Chiavetta, 94, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015 in New Eastwood Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. Born: Rose was born on February 9, 1920 in Bloomsbury, NJ, a daughter of the late Charles and Grace Ganguzza. Personal: Rose was married to Stephen Chiavetta, Sr., before his passing in 1972. She was a Seamstress for Kasover Pants Co., formerly of Easton. She volunteered for over 50 years at St. Francis Retreat House. Memberships: Rose was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church; Secular Franciscan Fraternity and the Lay Advisory Board for over 55 years; and the Captain of Mary Martin Lehigh Valley Womens Retreat. She was also a member of the Amalgamated and Cotton Union Workers, and the Over 50 Club at St. Philip and James. Survivors: Rose is survived by a daughter Dolores Seifert of Havertown, PA; a son Stephen V. Chiavetta Jr. M.D. and wife Janet of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren Lori fullington, Scott Seifert, Stephen Chiavetta III M.D., and John Chiavetta M.D.; great-grandchildren Alyssa Fullington, Lillian, Charlotte, Stephen IV, Hayden, and William Chiavetta. Services: Calling hours will be held on Friday from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA. Interment will be in St. Anthonys Cemetery, Williams Twp. Memorial Contributions: Contributions in memory of Rose may be made to St. Francis Retreat House, 3908 Chipman Road, Easton, PA 18045.
