Obituary

Rose Marie Ree Ruppert, 80, of Bath, PA, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. Ree was born in Easton, PA, a daughter of the late Alexander and Rose (Mastria) Guffy, Sr. Ree was married to John L. Jake Ruppert. She was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1954, and attended Churchmans Business School. She was a secretary for C.K. Williams & Company and later worked in sales for C.F. Martin Guitar & Company, before retiring in 1995. Ree was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, and Brown & Lynch Post 9 American Legion in Palmer Twp. In addition to her husband, Ree is survived by sons John A. Ruppert and companion Marilyn Minder of Bethlehem Twp., James M. Ruppert and wife Sharon of Palmer Twp.; a sister Lucy Haslam of Richboro; brothers Alexander Guffy, Jr of Palmer Twp., Charles Butch Guffy of Easton; grandchildren John D., Jessica, and Melissa Ruppert; and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by sisters Angelina Lina Male, Susan DHuyvetters, Ann Harrison; and a brother William Guffy. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 9:00 am to 10:30 am in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 am in the church. Interment will be private. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rees memory may be made to St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA 18045.
