Russell J. Amato, 83, of Upper Nazareth Twp. passed away at Gracedale Nursing Home on Sunday, January 12, 2014. Born: Russell was born in Easton, a son to the late Socorso and Josephine (Nicolosi) Amato. Memberships: Russell was Catholic in faith. Personal: Russell graduated from Easton High School in 1948. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Russell was employed by the Rudolph Pocket Book Factory formerly of Easton for many years. Survivors: Russell is survived by his sisters Frances Caesar of Wind Gap, PA and Josephine Crist of Easton, PA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Russell is preceded in death by his sisters; Mary Esposito, Sadie Mammana, Carmella Amato, Grace White and brothers Lewis, Anthony and Placido Amato. Services: Calling hours and services will be private in the Morello Funeral Home Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Easton, PA 18045 (Palmer Twp.). Interment will take place in St. Anthonys Cemetery in Easton.
