Obituary

Russell Bubba, 82, of Easton, PA, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2015 in Easton Hospital.

Russell was born in Easton, PA, a son of the late Luigi and Mary (Farina) Bubba.

Russell was married to the former Palma A. Salerno, with whom he celebrated 61 years of marriage last October. He worked in Sales and Management for New Century Transportation, Willingboro, NJ. Russell was a graduate of Easton High School. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, and loved cruising with his wife and family.

Russell was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, where he served as a special minister and was a member of the financial committee, and Holy Name Society for many years. He also was a member of the Traffic Club of Lehigh Valley where he served on many offices including President; Delta Nu Alpha Transportation Fraternity; Castel di Lucio Society; a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus; and St. Anthonys School PTA, and the Notre Dame High School Booster Club where he served as president; and was inducted into the Notre Dame High School Hall of Fame for his service to the athletic department.

In addition to his wife, Russell is survived by a son Russell E. Bubba and wife Jenn of Quakertown; daughters Nancy-Jo Bruno and husband Anthony of Bethlehem Twp., Kathy-Jo Frantz and husband Craig of Schnecksville; a brother Emidio Bubba of Palmer Twp; grandchildren Dr. Sandi-Jo Peterson, Dante Bruno, Santo Galati, Tony Bruno, Dion DiRocco, Melissa DiRocco, Logan Blair, Tyson Frantz, Adam Frantz; great-grandchildren Grayson Blair, Lucas Galati and Aiden Peterson. He is preceded in death by his sisters Elizabeth Szulborski and Clara Erdo.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with an additional calling hour on Monday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 am in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA. Entombment will be in St. Anthonys Mausoleum.
