Name: Russell D. Galante, 87 of Easton passed away Sunday March 4, 2012 in Easton Hospital, Wilson Boro. Born: He was born on July 11, 1924 in Phillipsburg, NJ a son of the late Louis and Gertrude Monteleone Galante Personal: Russell was employed as a textile worker for Oxford Textile retiring in 1989. He served our country in the US Army during WWII in the 774th Tank Destroyer Battalion. Survivors: Russell is survived by his wife, the former Shirley Ann Shafer; a son Russell Galante and wife Patricia of Whitehall, PA; a daughter Bonnie Barber and husband Bruce of Wilson Boro.; grandchildren Jennifer Werkheiser, Matthew Barber, Kaitlin Galante, step-granddaughter, Kelli Schaffer, and great grandchildren Amanda Werkheiser, Anthony Barber and Jonathan Barber. Brothers Louis, Francis and Ralph Galante preceded Russell in death. Services: A calling hour will be held on Friday from 10:00am to 11:00am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp.
