Name: S. Marie Ciofalo, 83 of Philadelphia, PA passed away Monday March 30, 2009 in Elkins Park Hospital, Philadelphia. Born: She was born on April 13, 1925 in Union, NJ a daughter of the late John and Philomenia Agro Vitale. Personal: Marie was preceded in death by her husband Anthony F. Ciofalo, Sr. on October 10, 2003. She was employed as a circulation assistant in the Skillman Library at Lafayette College retiring in 1989. Marie was a graduate of Easton High School class of 1942. During WWII Marie worked as a Rosie the Riveter. Marie was devoted to her family and enjoyed cooking for everyone including her beloved daschunds. Memberships: She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Easton. Marie was also a member of the Holy Cross Ladies Auxiliary and the League of Women Voters. Survivors: Marie is survived by sons Anthony F. Ciofalo of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Stephen Ciofalo and wife Nancy of Sioux Falls, SD; a daughter Michele Ciofalo-Webster and husband Carl of Philadelphia; a sister Jeanne Rossi of Palm Coast, FL; brothers Thomas Vitale of Vero Beach, FL, James Vitale of Palm Coast, FL; grandchildren Nicki, Jared, Danielle, Aleida, Dominic, Kyle, Whitni and great grandchild Justin. A sister Connie Jo Lutack preceded Marie in death. Services: Calling hours will be held Friday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturday from 9:15am until 10:15am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc,. 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00am in the church, 9th and Lehigh Streets in Easton. Interment will be in St. Anthonys Cemetery, Williams Twp.
