Name: Salvatore Sam Elmo, 89 of Easton, PA passed away Sunday October 17th in Kirkland Village Bethlehem, PA. Born: Sam was born on July 20th, 1921 in Phillipsburg, NJ a son of the late John and Rose Lacarro Elmo. Personal: He was employed by Ingersoll-Rand Camron pump division in the shipping and receiving department, before retiring in 1982. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School. Memberships: He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 9th & Lehigh St. in Easton, the Golden Age club, the Ambassador club, Senior Circle, Republican club, Citizens Hose, and Fleas club. Survivors: Sam is survived by his wife Jennie (Boscia) Valerio Elmo; sons John Elmo of Cary, NC, Anthony and his wife Mary Jo Elmo of Hackettstown, NJ; daughter Pauline Coughlin of Palmer Twp.; stepson Victor and his wife Marie Valerio of Lakeland, FL; stepdaughter Staci Pugliese of Palmer Twp.; grandchildren Jeffrey, Sera, Denise, and Amy Coughlin, Derek, Laura, Sophie, Rebecca and Christina Elmo; stepgrandchildren Holly Valerio and Michael Pugliese; a sister Jane Paolina of Lopatcong Twp. NJ; a brother Carl Elmo of Easton, PA . Sam is preceded in death by his first wife the former Josephine Cuva who passed away in 1980, Sisters Josephine, Angelina, and Sadie and Brothers Angelo, John, and George. Services: Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 pm 8 pm and also Wednesday morning from 8:15 am- 9:15 am in the Morello Funeral Home Inc 3720 Nicholas St. Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.). A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Anthonys Church 9th & Lehigh St. Easton, PA Wednesday at 10 am.
