Salvatore C. Riz Rizzo, 72, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 in Easton Hospital. Salvatore was born in Easton, PA, a son of the late John and Josephine (Alfero) Rizzo. Salvatore was married to the former Joyce T. Renaldi, with whom he celebrated 46 years of marriage last September 7. He was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1960. Salvatore was a food truck driver for Wilson Area School District, before retiring in 2014. He played for Sportsmans Slow Pitch softball team, playing first base. He was a Phillipsburg Catholic JV Basketball coach in the early 1960s. Salvatore was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, CBL Basketball League, where he volunteered as the assignor and referee for over 40 years, and was a member of Citizens Hose. In addition to his wife, Salvatore is survived by a son Jon J. Rizzo and wife Diane of Manchester, CT; a daughter Teresa Soden and husband Jon of Bethlehem, PA; a sister Nancy Trimmer of Wilson Boro.; grandchildren Averie and Grayson. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and also on Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am in the funeral home.
