With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father, Salvatore Sacco on March 25, 2026. Born June 20, 1946, in Castel di Lucio, Sicily, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Francesca (Iacono) Sacco. He was a man whose strength, passion, and love for life left a lasting imprint on everyone who knew him.
He proudly served in the Italian Army, carrying with him a deep sense of discipline, resilience, and pride that shaped the rest of his life. A true jack of all trades, he built a life defined by hard work and determination. Whether laying foundations in construction, running his own restaurants, or leading his construction company, Right Way Construction, he approached every endeavor with unmatched dedication. He never missed a day of work—his strength and work ethic were simply part of who he was.
Beyond his work, he was a man full of life. He loved music, dancing, playing his accordion and singing, bringing joy and laughter into every room. The kitchen was one of his favorite places, especially during the holidays, where he showed his love by cooking for his family, creating meals and memories that will be cherished forever. He also took great pride in making his own wine and cheese, traditions that reflected his heritage and the joy he found in sharing with others.
In the later years of his life, he found peace and happiness at his farm, spending his days surrounded by his animals, embracing a quieter but deeply fulfilling chapter.
Above all, he was the strongest person we knew. His battle with cancer showed us the true depth of his courage. He fought with everything he had, remaining strong until the very end, never losing his spirit or his will.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering strength. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always carried in our hearts.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth (Mauro) Sacco; his daughters, Deidre Hakimi and her husband Gino, and Laura Bartolacci and her husband Ray; his son-in-law, Gary Filaseta; and his cherished grandchildren, Salvatore, Layla, Raymond IV, and Lorenzo; sisters, Maria Calantoni and Rosalia Calantoni; and brother Giuseppe Sacco of Italy. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Melissa Sacco-Filaseta.
Ti voglio bene
