Salvatore Sportelli, 80, of Easton, PA, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016 in his home.

Salvatore was born in Long Island City, NY, a son of the late Cesare and Anna (Cafariella) Sportelli.

Salvatore was married to the former Patricia M. Bertha before her passing in 2010. He was a proprietor of Sal Sportelli & Sons Concrete Co. Prior to that; he owned Arbor Home Inc. in Washington NJ, Lifestyle Homes Inc. in Berwick PA, and Landmark Home Inc. in Whitehall PA.

He was a member of National Homebuilders Association in NJ.

Salvatore is survived by sons Stephen Sportelli and wife Kathleen of Forks Twp., Scott A. Sportelli of Northampton, Gregory L. Sportelli and wife Marie, Salvatore P. Sportelli and wife Carol Lee of Forks Twp.; a daughter Cynthia A. Winterstein and husband James of Burton TX; sisters Antoinette Gillen of Laceyville, PA, Nancy Nicoletta of Easton; brothers Cesare Sportelli of Easton, Louis Sportelli of Palmerton; grandchildren Courtney, Lauren, Chad, Nina, Ashley, Cesare, Joshua, Sydney; great-grandchildren Tyler, Shae, Cole, Brooke, Natalie and Nico. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by a brother Matthew Sportelli.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.), followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Entombment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine Mausoleum, Palmer Twp.
