Samuel T. Heard, 76, of Alexandria Manor, Nazareth, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in St. Lukes Hospital, Anderson Campus. Born: Sam was born on September 10, 1938 in Easton, PA, a son of the late Clifford H. Heard, Sr and Charlotte (Herring) Heard. Personal: Sam attended Bangor High School. He worked for the former American Can Co. (the former Dixie Cup) as a printing press operator for 29 years before retirement. He was very involved with the West Easton AA. Survivors: Sam is survived by a daughter Charlene Stapert and husband Jeff of Tatamy, PA; a son Mark Heard and wife Mitzi of Florence, Co; his beloved grandchildren David and Andrew Stapert, Bailey and Evan Heard, and Cortlyne Huppe; a sister Charlotte (Amato) DePaolo of Pen Argyl, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his companion Anna Iachini, and eight brothers and sisters. Services: A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.), followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm in the funeral home.
