Samuel J. Trapani, 93, of Easton, PA, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015 in Country Meadows Nursing Home. Samuel was born in Easton, PA, a son of the late Angelo and Sadie (Merlo) Trapani. Samuel was married to the former Matilda Tillie Embardino with whom he celebrated 67 years of marriage last September 5. He was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1940, attended New York University, and graduated from Bloomsburg State Teachers College in 1944. Samuel was an Accountant for Siegel & Berg from 1944-1960; he was a High School Teacher in Accounting in Whitehall from 1960-1962, and also Easton High School from 1962-1984, during which time he was owner of Ross Distributing Company from 1968-1984, before retiring in 1984. Samuel was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, the YMCA, and the Pennsylvania State Education Association. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Angelo Trapani and wife Shirin of Mendham, NJ; daughters Sandra Harding and husband Bruce of Willow, Alaska, Anne Anthony and husband Tom of Warrington, PA, Christina Mueller and husband Joseph of Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren Samuel, Philip, Christopher, Sarah, TJ, Kevin, Samantha, and Taylor; great-grandchildren Caden, Brayden, Aden, Jude, Jake, Liv, and Lux. He is preceded in death by a sister Frances Indovina and a brother Charles Trapani. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with an additional calling hour on Monday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 am in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Palmer Twp., PA.
