Sebastian "Sonny" Merlo, 82, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2020 in St. Luke's Hospital, Anderson Campus.

Sonny was born in Pittston, PA, a son of the late Leonardo and Giovannina "Jennie" (Montagna) Merlo.

Sonny was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1955, and served in the US Army. He was married to the former Margaret Ann Cocco, with whom he celebrated 59 years of marriage last August. Sonny was proprietor of the former Pollock Brush Company in Easton; prior to that he was employed at Kressler Wolff, and Miller of Easton. After retiring from Pollock Brush co., he worked for the PA Bridge Commission. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

In addition to his wife, Sonny is survived by his daughters Melissa M. Corrado of Palmer Twp., Carol Ann Abel and husband George of Palmer Twp.; a sister Josephine Merlo of Palmer Twp.; a brother Ignatious Merlo of Forks Twp.; grandchildren Nicole, Dennis, Carissa, Rebecca, Chad; and great-grandchildren Juliana and Jayden. He is preceded in death by his brothers Charles and Joseph Merlo.
