Selma E. Karam, 85, of Palmer Twp. passed away Monday, March 14th in St. Lukes Hospital-Fountan Hill.
Born : She was born on February 8th, 1926 in Kfarsghab, Lebanon, a daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth (Merhi) Badway.
Personal: Selma and her husband, the late George J. Karam, co-owned and operated the former K Bar and Grill in Palmer Twp. many years ago. She also had been employed as a seamstress for the former Wilshire Mills of Easton before her retirement many years ago. She was a graduate of Easton High School class of 1943.
Memberships: She was a member of our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic church 4th and Ferry Sts. In Easton, the St. Theresa Sodality, LAWA and was an avid bingo player.
Survivors: Selma is survived by her son Joseph Karam, daughters Lynette Leendertz, and Stephanie Rodriguez all of Palmer Twp.; a sister Martha Russell of Forks Twp.; grandchildren Nikki Assise, Bobbi Campbell, Sebastiaan Leendertz; great grandchildren Mary Assise, Sophie and Adam Campbell.
Selma is preceded in death by her brothers Emil, Maurice and Ernest Badway.
Services: Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 6:30pm 8:30pm in the church with Prayer of the Incense at 8pm. An additional time of visitation will be held on Thursday from 9am until the beginning of the Divine Liturgy at 10am in the church. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery Palmer Twp.
