Sharon A. Higgins, 70, of Plainfield Township, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 5, 1952 in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Elizabeth (Sarson) Heckman. She graduated from Delaware Valley Regional High School and served in the United States Army.

She worked as a secretary for the family business, Higgins Concrete, for over thirty years. Sharon was a life member of the NRA, a licensed beautician, and loved to travel and see new places.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Donald Higgins; son, Richard Gromes and his wife, Tara of Stroudsburg; daughter, Melanie Maldonado and her husband, Mario of Bushkill; sisters, Sandra Hunara and her husband, William of Easton and Candy Stefano of Pen Argyl; brothers, Richard Heckman and his wife, Sarah of Whitehall and Randy Heckman of Riegelsville; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her sister Cindy Luckey and brother Rick Heckman.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm followed by a funeral service at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.)
